Abstract
Se describe un metodo de mejoramiento de la cinetica de lixiviacion y la recuperacion de metal durante la lixiviacion atmosferica o sustancialmente atmosferica de un sulfuro metalico. En algunas modalidades, el metodo puede comprender los pasos de: (a) producir un concentrado de flotacion de sulfuro metalico; (b) procesar el concentrado de sulfuro metalico en un circuito de activacion reductiva que opera a un primer potencial redox, para producir un concentrado de sulfuro metalico reductivamente activado; y, (c) procesar subsecuentemente el concentrado de sulfuro metalico activado en un circuito de lixiviacion oxidativa para extraer riquezas metalicas. En algunas modalidades descritas, empleados los pasos de activacion reductiva pueden ser antes de los pasos de lixiviacion oxidativa (incluyendo la lixiviacion en monton o los pasos de biolixiviacion). En algunas modalidades, pueden ser empleados pasos de procesamiento fisicoquimicos durante la activacion reductiva y/o la lixiviacion oxidativa. Se describen tambien los sistemas para practicar los metodos anteriormente mencionados
