Abstract
Se describe un metodo para mejorar la cinetica y recuperacion de lixiviacion de metal durante la lixiviacion atmosferica o sustancialmente atmosferica de un sulfuro metalico. En algunas modalidades, el metodo puede comprender el paso de procesar un concentrado de sulfuro metalico en un circuito de activacion reductiva 220 que opera en un primer potencial redox, para producir un concentrado de sulfuro metalico activado reductivamente. El metodo ademas puede comprender el paso de procesar posteriormente el concentrado de sulfuro metalico activado en un circuito de lixiviacion oxidativa 240 para extraer metales de valor. En algunas modalidades descritas, los pasos de activacion reductora y/o disolucion oxidativa pueden emplear un procesamiento mecano-quimico y/o fisico-quimico de las particulas o aglomerados de las mismas. La activacion reductiva se puede realizar previo a las operaciones de lixiviacion de pilas o bio-lixiviacion para mejorar la extraccion de metal. Tambien se describen los sistemas para practicar los metodos antes mencionados
