Abstract

Se refiere a un metodo para la produccion autotrofica de alcoholes y biodiesel a partir de dioxido de carbono y agua, que comprende: (a) introducir un organismo autotrofo transgenico (plantas, celulas vegetales, cianobacterias, entre otras) en un sistema de biorreactores; (b) recolectar el alcohol y biodiesel sintetizados en el biorreactor; y (c) recolectar la biomasa del cultivo liquido presente en el biorreactor por auto-floculacion. Los organismos autotrofos incluyen una serie de transgenes que expresan una via fotosintetica o hidrogenotrofica y tecnologia de resguardo de seguridad para aumentar la produccion de alcoholes y biodiesel tales como metanol, etanol, propanol, 1-butanol, isobutanol, entre otros. Las celulas transgenicas en su masa de cultivo liquido pueden auto-flocular de manera inducible para aumentar la recoleccion de su biomasa luego de la expresion de polipeptidos con carga positiva unidos a la superficie celular
