Abstract
La invencion se relaciona con un uso de una sal fundida reversible para la separacion de hidrocarburos, como por ejemplo bitumen crudo y/o aceite crudo pesado, de material que comprende solidos minerales. La invencion se relaciona ademas con un metodo que comprende como minimo los pasos de: (a) poner en contacto una fase liquida que comprende una sal fundida reversible, preferiblemente un liquido ionico reversible, con solidos minerales que comprenden hidrocarburos y extraer hidrocarburos a la fase liquida a partir de los solidos minerales (b) separacion de la fase de solidos minerales de la fase liquida, la cual comprende sal fundida e hidrocarburos; (c) separacion de hidrocarburos de la fase liquida que comprende sal fundida; y (d) reciclaje de la fase liquida que comprende sal fundida hasta el paso (a).
