Abstract
A suspended, hook on scaffold system suitable for installing insulation on multi-storey buildings is described. The scaffolding can be attached to the upper levels of a building under construction, making large wrap around scaffolding built from the ground up unnecessary. The cantilever scaffold (12) abuts a vertical wall or support frame (F’) and hooks onto the floor where work is to be undertaken by a hook or catch or hitch or clamp (16), which includes a flange for mounting the hook portion to the floor by screwing or nailing. The scaffold can also include an telescopic or extendable rod or bracket (30) which can be attached to the frame by a brace (60) for added stability. Workers planks can be placed between multiple scaffolds to create a work platform.
