Abstract

Disclosed is a mast for a sailing vehicle and a sailing vehicle to improve the statics of the mast through design. The mast is divided in a lateral direction resulting in two mirror-image mast halves (1). The mast halves (1) merge at a mast top (4) and are apart from one another at a mast base (5). The mast halves (1) form curved or straight mast halves (1). The transfer of acting forces takes place through an inner central stay (2) and inner spokes (3). The inner central stay (2) is provided with a guide rail to accommodate a mast slider of a luff. The inner central stay (2) is seen in side view on the mast and extends abaft from the top of the mast.
