Abstract

589887 A reusable slab forming apparatus for forming of a cementitious or other material foundation slab in place, comprising or including a side shuttering member 2 extending in an elongate direction, having a first forming surface thereon located between an upper portion and a lower portion, an edge forming member adapted to be removably mounted to at least part of the side shuttering member 2 via the upper portion, that when mounted to the at least part of the side shuttering member 2, is adapted to define a rebate in at least an edge of the foundation slab, the edge forming member of substantially polygonal cross section perpendicular to the elongate direction, and which defines an external second forming surface. The second forming surface includes an upper part adapted to indicate a level of the cementitious or other material when poured, a lower external surface of the edge forming member, that when mounted to the upper portion, slopes upwardly and away from the side shuttering member 2, and at least one support member adapted to releasably engage with at least the side shuttering member 2 to, in use, support the side shuttering member 2 in a vertical orientation with the elongate direction running substantially horizontal. The side shuttering member 2 at least in part defines a periphery within which the cementitious or other material can be poured to form a foundation slab in place, and wherein when the cementitious or other material has at least in part cured, the reusable slab forming apparatus can be removed and is able to be reused to form another foundation slab.
