Abstract

A DNA sequence coding for an oxalate oxidase. The protein is useful in making plants resistant to diseases caused by Sclerotinia sp. It may be provided by a chimeric gene and a vector containing the coding sequence. It is useful in increasing the resistance of plants to diseases due to Sclerotinia sp.
