Abstract

Oppfinnelsen omhandler en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av Silisium- modifiserte alkydharpikser, harpiksblandinger og produkter fremstilt derav. Fremgangsmåten omfatter omsetning av: A) minst en organosilisiumforbindelse, B) minst en harpiks oppnådd ved å omsette minst ett fettsyremiddel med minst en polyhydroksylholdig polymer med gjennomsnittlig OH-funksjonalitet på fra omtrent 2 til 25 og antallsmidlere molekylvekt fra omtrent 800 til omtrent 5000, omfattende repeterende enheter avledet fra en allylalkohol med formel: CH2=CR-i-CH2-(A)n-OH (III) hvori R3 = H eller Ci-C5alkyl, A = en oksyalkylengruppe, n= O til 10. Silisiummodifiserte alkydharpikser fremstilt ved hjelp av denne fremgangs- måte, har signifikant forbedret værmotstandsevne ved tilsvarende belegg- blandingsanvendelser.
