Abstract

Stempelringer og/eller stempel i en to-takts kryss- hodemotor er på sine radiale ytre overflater påført et innkjøringslag (32, 37, 40, 42), som har en tyk- kelse på minst 0,1 mm i den radiale retning og er laget av et materiale som inneholder fra 5 til 60% av et fastsmøremiddel, så som grafitt, og 40 til 95% av et metallisk bindemiddel, så som Ni, Al, Si og muligens opptil 15% av et organisk bindemiddel. Makrohardheten til innkjøringslaget er mindre enn 300 HV30. Innkjøringslaget gjør det mulig for moto- ren å bli startet opp og brakt til full belastning innenfor en total driftsperiode på høyst tre timer.
