Abstract
Fremgangsmåte og apparat for å forbedre medisinsk ultralydavbildning ved å ta i bruk såkalt dataavhengig filtrer- ing. En størrelse (C) som kalles koherens- faktoren beregnes for hvert bildeelement i den ultralydavbildning som etableres. Koherensfaktoren er forholdet mellom amplituden av de mottatte signaler som tilsvarer reflekterte ultralydbølger og som summeres koherent, og amplituden av de samme mottatte signaler som summeres inkoherent. Koherensdata lagres i et første bufferlager ( 58) og kan eventuelt romlig filtreres og føres til kartlegging. Tilsvarende amplitudedata samles inn samtidig og lagres i et andre bufferlager (60). Systemet kan betjenes selektivt for å vise koherensinformasjonen alene, ampli- tudeinformasjonen alene eller en kombina- sjon av disse.
