Abstract

Det beskrives en forbedret beskyttelsespute for å beskytte menneskets kropp mot støtkrefter. Puten formes ved bruk av sjikt av polymerskum med lukkede celler og høy tetthet og polymerskum med lukkede celler og lav tetthet. Sjiktet med høy tetthet absorberer og sprer støtkraften mens sjiktet med lav tetthet virker som et polster mot menneskets kropp og tilveiebringer komfort. Puten kan utstyres med et flertall av hull gjennom hele sin tykkelse for å tilveiebringe pusteevne og frigiv- ning av varme fra menneskets kropp, hvor flatearealet av hullene er tilstrekkelig stort for å muliggjøre en tilstrekkelig ventilasjon, men ikke så stort at beskyt- telsen som ytes av puten, nedsettes merkbart. Puten kan også utstyres med et flertall skårlinjer over sin flate og gjennom en del av sin tykkelse for å tilveiebringe fleksibilitet og tilpasningsevne til det område av men- neskets kropp som skal beskyttes.
