A gearbox (16) operatively connects an electric motor (14) to each of the pumps, a pressure bearing (30) operatively connected to each pump's pump shaft (32) between the gearbox and each pump. A conduit (36) feeds fluids to and from the pumps in parallel flow or series flow. The multi-pump arrangement provides an excess pump capacity in remote locations where the pumps fail more often than the electric motors, and in remote locations where the size and weight requirements prevent horizontal multi-pump pump systems from being used.
