Abstract

En blyfri randtennings-tennsatssammensetning som benytter kobberazid, et høyt følsomt kjemikalie, som det primære eksplosivet istedenfor blystypnat. Kobberazidet blandes med nøyaktig utvalgte andeler av nitrocellulose, tetracen, fine partikler av oppmalt glass og et bindemiddel, typisk tragantgummi. Etter at de er blandet i de egnede blandingsforhold, har denne sammensetningen den nødvendige følsomhet, stabilitet og ikke- hygroskopisitet for vanlig kommersiell randtenningsammunisjon.
