Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse omhandler en fremgangsmåte for å behandle bunnfall dannet ved biologisk rensing av kommunalt og industrielt avfallsvann og kan anvendes på ulike felt innen industrien, spesielt innen papir og tremasse-produksjon. Et pre-fortykket overskudd av aktivert slam behandles med lutslam som tilveiebringes ved den etsende grønnlut-tilstanden i produksjonen av sulfat-tremasse under røring. Lutslam anvendes i et volumforhold til overskuddet av det aktiverte slammet lik l : 5 - 10. Deretter dehydreres slammet ved filtrering, foretrukket ved en temperatur på mellom 75 og 104°C. Det dehydrerte bunnfallet tørkes og forbrennes. Et rest-produkt av aske som oppnås såvel som et klaret alkalisk hydrolysa! anvendes ved produksjonen av slufat-tremasse. Foreliggende fremgangsmåte for å behandle et overskudd at aktivert slam tillater intensifisering av filtreringsprosessen, hvor man unngår anvendelse av dyre kjemiske reagensmidler, en fullstendig anvendelse av produktene som oppnås ved behandling av slammet såvel som anvendelse av avfallet av produksjonen av sulfat-tremasse, dvs. lutslam, med forenkling av produksjonsprosedyrene og teknikken og en vesentlig reduksjon av materialkostnadene.
