Dette abrasjonsmiddel er partikkelformige materialer oppnådd ved bråav- kjøling og størkning av et metallraffineringsslagg inneholdende oksydene av Mg, Al og Si som hovedkomponenter, og omfatter en blanding av 95-30 vekt% av haglliknende partikler med sfæriske eller kvasi-sfæriske glatte overflater med en gjennomsnittlig partikkelstørrelse på 0,1~5 mm, og 5~70 vekt% av kvadratiske kornliknende partikkelformige materialer med en gjennomsnittlig partikkelstørrelse på 0,1-2,5 mm.
