Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse beskriver en vandig, ikke-elektrolytisk, ikke-tok- sisk, biologisk nedbrytbar anti-isings- eller avisingsblanding med kontinuerlig en- kel fase for anvendelse på overflater av f eks. fly, veier i lufthavner, veier generelt, fortauer, broer, innganger, strukturer, kanaler, sluseanlegg, komponenter, fartøy- er, nautiske komponenter, brytere på jernbaner og motorkjøretøyer. Anti-isings- eller avisingsblandingen omfatter: (a) vann; (b) et ikke-toksisk frysepunktnedset- tende middel valgt fra gruppen som består av énverdige alkoholer med fra 2 til 6 karbonatomer, flerverdige alkoholer med fra 3 til 12 karbonatomer, monometyl- eller -etyletere av flerverdige alkoholer med fra 3 til 12 karbonatomer, eller blan- dinger derav; idet det frysepunktnedsettende middel er til stede i mengder mellom ca. 14 og 60 vekt%; (c) et fortykningsmiddel som er til stede i mengder mellom ca. 0,01 og 10 vekt%, og (d) eventuelt en korrosjonsinhibitor som er til stede i mengder mellom ca. 0,01 og 0,1 vekt% av den totale blanding. 1 én utførelse omfatter avisingsblandingen videre (e) en enverdig primær, alifatisk, utforgrenet alkohol som et middel for å danne et tynt skikt på overflaten av blandingen som påføres strukturen som skal gis isbeskyttelse, og/eller som middel for dannelse av homogenisert skum med xantan-fortykningsmiddel, idet alkoholen velges fra gruppen som består av alkoholen med fra 8 til 24 karbonatomer, fortrinnsvis 1- dodekanol.
