Abstract
Oppfinnelsen tilveiebringer en fremgangsmåte og et apparat for testing av et telekommunikasjonsnett (1-12) for å bestemme en omtrentlig lokalisering av en feil. Fremgangsmåten omfatter måling av en endring i kapasitans for en linje i nettet, og så bestemmelse ut fra et kjent forhold mellom kapasitans og linjelengde, av en linjelengde som tilsvarer denne endringen. Denne lengden vil gi en omtrentlig posisjon for en feil fra en abonnents utstyr som befinner seg på en eiendom (1).
