Abstract

En anordning for overvåkning og administrasjon av feil i et telekommunikasjonssystem omfatter et kje- desystem av diagnose- og inferensobjekter (IFP) som er koblet etter hverandre i en feilpropagerende retning i telekommunikasjonssystemet. Plasseringen av disse objekter i kjedesystemet blir bestemt slik at det gjeres mulig å overvåke, i et eget overvåk- ningsdomene, ett og ett fenomen, som kan være forår- saket av feil i telekommunikasjonssystemet, og å kommunisere med, påvirke og interaksjonere med hver- andre i tilfelle en feil opptrer, for lokalisering av feil i telekommunikasjonssystemet. Hvert diagno- se- og inferensobjekt bruker ett eller flere måle- ; punkt-objekter (MEP) for å observere opptreden av det fenomen som overvåkes av diagnose- og inferens- ob jektet, og for å rapportere til diagnose- og in- ferensobjektet (IFP). Flere målepunktobjekter (MEP) kan være gruppert til ett målekombinerende objekt (MEC) som samler sammen og prosesserer data fra de innlemmede målepunktobjekter.
