Abstract

Malinger med lav emissivitet i det infrarøde områd- et er nyttige for markering av objekter ved at de skiller seg ut når de betraktes i infrarøde, sensitive betraktningsinnretninger slik som varmebildende utstyr, og for kamuflering av kjøretøy og utstyr. En slik maling kan bli formulert ved å tilveiebringe klorinert polymer, plastisert harpiks, en eller flere pigmenter og leirefortykningsmiddel, hvor alle er mellom l og 10 vektprosent, og energireflekterende partikler mellom 10 og 60 vektprosent sammen med en mindre mengde av fargestoff og eventuelt et oppløsningsmiddel. De energireflekterende partiklene kan f.eks. være aluminium- eller sølvpletterte kobberflak.
