Puls-bredde modulert DC-til-DC booster-omformerkrets (300) der svitsjetapene blir minimert. Kretsen fungerer ved en konstant frekvens og i en kontinuer- lig modus (ved en konstant strøm). Påslagstap blir minimert ved at man lar den parasittiske intrinsikke kapasitans for hovedsvitsjeinnretningen (302) bli utladet før svitsjeinnretningen blir svitsjet til den ledende tilstand, og ved reduksjon av den rever- serte gjenvinningsstrøm fra utlikeretteren (320) fra kretsen når utlikeretteren blir slått av. Avslags- tapene i svitsjeinnretningen blir minimert ved å bevirke en betingelse med null volt over svitsjeinn- retningen ved avslag.
