Et prismelys-lederarmatur (84) har opake (102) og lysemitterende (88) flatepartier som tilsammen danner en valgt tverrsnittsutforming. Det opake flateparti har en lysreflekterende karakteristikk. Det lysemitterende flateparti er et prismelys-leder- materiale (100) som innenfor armaturet avgrenser lysstråler som treffer materialet i vinkler som faller innenfor materialets aksept-vinkelområde. Inne i armaturet omdirigerer et lysspredende område (92, 94) med en forhåndsbestemt form og plassering lys til vinkler som faller utenfor materialets aksept- vinkelområde.
