Abstract

Et ekstruderbart materiale (1) f.eks. et varm- smelte-klebemiddel, påføres et substrat (2) under samtidig bestråling med en laserstråle (9). Laser- energien absorberes av klebemiddelet og substratet og bevirker derved utspredning av klebemiddelet i stoffet. Når det påføres en spalte (17) mellom to substrat-plater, danner det ekstruderbare materi- ale en meget sterk forbindelse. Når ett av sub- stratmaterialene (21) er porøst, vil det ekstru- derbare materiale trenge gjennom materialtykkel- sen og komme i kontakt med et lavere lag (19) for derved å danne en forbindelse. Det ekstruderbare materiale påføres gjennom en dyse, og laserstrå- len rettes gjennom dysen slik at den er koaksial med det ekstruderbare materialets strømningsbane (11). Det koaksiale arrangement letter bevegelse av dysen og strålen i kompliserte mønstre og sik- rer samtidig påføring av det ekstruderbare mate- rialet og laserstrålen.
