Abstract
Fremgangsmåte og apparat for fremstilling av et gassformig oksygenprodukt ved et avleverlngstrykk slik at det Inneholder en . lav konsentrasjon av tunge urenheter, hvorved komprimert og renset luft avkjøles l en hovedvarmeveksler til nær duggpunkttemperaturer og deretter Innføres l en luftseparerlngsenhet som er konstruert slik at den rektlflserer luften til en flytende oksygenfraksjon. Luftsepareringsenheten omfatter høy- og lavtrykkskolonner som er operativt forbundet med hverandre l et varmeoverførlngsforhold ved tilveiebringelse av en kjøler-fordamper. Vaeskefasen av luften som separeres blir stadig mer konsentrert på tunge urenheter etter hvert som den beveger seg nedover l lavtrykkskolonnen slik at flytende oksygen som oppsamles l samlebrønnen l kjøler-fordamperen blir konsentrert på de tunge urenhetene og væskefasen som strømmer Inn l samlebrønnen Inneholder en lav konsen- trasjon av de tunge urenhetene. En produktstrøm fjernes fra væskefasen før den når samlebrønnen og pumpes til avleverlngstrykket og blir deretter fordampet i hovedvarmeveksleren. En spylestrøm av flytende oksygen fra samlebrønnen fjernes slik at nivået for urenhetskonsentrasjon l det flytende oksygenet Ikke når dets oppløsellghetsgrense.
