Abstract

Process for preparing chemical thermomechanical pulp from lignocellulosic material by preheating and refining the material at an elevated temperature of 160 - 180 ° C, after the tiles are pre-impregnated with an impregnating liquid containing borohydride, at least a compound selected from the group, sodium sulfite, sodium hydrogen sulfite and sodium disulfite, and optionally one or more complexing agents. The impregnating liquid preferably has a neutral, near neutral or slightly acidic pH value. The process according to the invention enables the discoloration of the pulp to be avoided and / or that a reduction in pulp brightness is counteracted in the preheating and refining process. The invention also relates to an impregnation liquid for impregnating lignocellulosic material in the production of chemical thermomechanical masses.
