Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for fjerning av kvikksølv fra indre rørflater, især fra demonterte ledninger for gasstransport, og en for dette egnet innretning. Ved transport av naturgass kan kvikksølv forekomme i konsentra- sjoner opptil noen 100 pg/Nm3. Dette kvikksølv forurenser transportrørenes indre vegg. Forurensningen fjernes ved oppvarming av de forurensede flater ved en i stor utstrekning fordampning av kvikksølvet ved gjennomstrømning av en gass. Etter utskillelse av kvikksølvdam- pene fra gassen ledes denne igjen gjen- nom transportrøret.
