Abstract

En skjøt for sammenkopling av. to undervannskabler (2, 5) som omfatter optiske fibrer (4, 7), idet den ene kabels (2) armering (3) har en radialt indre beliggenhet i forhold til den sammenstilling som er dannet av de optiske fibrer (4), og den andre kabels (5) armering (6) har en radialt ytre beliggenhet i forhold til den nevnte sammenstilling. I skjøten oppnås den mekaniske forbindelse mellom de to kablers (2, 5) armeringer (3, 6) ved at de fastgjøres til en plate (1) som er forsynt med åpninger (25) for a tillate passering av endepartiene av de optiske fibrer (4, 7) som er inneholdt i kablene (2, 5), med henblikk pé innbyrdes sammenkopling av fibrene.
