Abstract
Det foreslås en overgangsmodusinnretning og fremgangsmåte for bruk i en lydsignalkodek av prediktiv type for produsering av en overgangsmoduseksitasjon som erstatter en adaptiv kodebokeksitasjon i en overgangsramme og/eller en ramme som følger i lydsignalet innbefattende en inngang for overgangsmoduskodebok for generering av et sett av kodevektorer uavhengig av tidligere eksitasjon. Overgangsmoduskodeboken responderer på indeksen for generering av, i overganesrammen og/eller rammen som følger etter overgangen, en av kodevektorene i settet som korresponderer med overgangsmoduseksitasjonen. Det foreslås også en kodingsinnretning og -fremgangsmåte og en dekodinesinnretning og -fremgangsmåte hvor den foran nevnte overgangsmodusinnretningen og fremgangsmåten brukes.
