Description
SPRØYTEPOSE, EMNE FOR PRODUKSJON AV EN SPRØYTEPOSE OG FREMGANGSMÅTE FOR PRODUKSJON AV EN SPRØYTEPOSE SPRAY BAG, SUBJECT FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A SPRAY BAG AND PROCEDURE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A SPRAY BAG
The present invention relates to disposable syringe bags as stated in the preamble to patent claim 1, and more specifically disposable syringe bags for use when handling foodstuffs.
Piping bags are mainly used for decorating confectionery, confectionery or food with a viscous, semi-liquid or viscous mass such as cream, marzipan, dough, cream cheese, sugar mass or the like. Spray bags can also be used for other purposes, for example when applying glue, cement, plaster, pressing compound or the like.
US Patent No. 3,157,312 describes a disposable syringe bag. This spray bag consists of a plastic bag made of two layers of polymer film that have been welded together along the edge of the bag. The syringe bag is adapted in one corner so that it can accommodate an essentially conical syringe tip through which a mass in the syringe bag can be sprayed out. The syringe tip can be provided with a specific profile, so that the extruded mass can be given the desired appearance.
DE 34 12 254 A1 describes a piping bag for confectionery or similar where the piping bag consists of a film which is folded into a funnel shape and which is at least partially welded together. This syringe bag has a smooth inward-facing side and a rough outward-facing side. It can be manufactured from a two-layer film or from a three-layer film.
A problem with previously known disposable syringe bags is that it can be difficult to handle the syringe bag, both during production and during use.
There is therefore a need for a better disposable syringe bag.
An object of the invention is to provide a disposable syringe bag which reduces or eliminates the problems associated with prior art.
The purpose is achieved by means of a syringe bag, a blank and a method according to the respective independent patent claims attached. Embodiments are defined in the attached independent patent claims, as well as in the subsequent description and drawings.
According to a first aspect, a disposable syringe bag comprising a polymer film container is thus provided. The syringe bag is characterized by the fact that it is essentially made of a thin-walled polymer sleeve, and that an outward-facing surface of the syringe bag is provided with a surface structure and the outward-facing surface of the polymer sleeve includes friction-increasing agents.
The term disposable refers in this document to the fact that the syringe bag must be thrown away after use, and must not be cleaned and used again. However, this does not preclude the syringe bag being refilled and/or cleaned and thus used to dispense more than one portion of liquid mass. Disposable means in reality that it must be possible to produce the syringe bag in large quantities at a low price.
Betegnelsen overflatestruktur betyr i dette skrift overflatens tredimensjonale struktur. In this document, the term surface structure means the three-dimensional structure of the surface.
The surface structure of the spray bag reduces the risk of the user losing their grip on the bag, especially if the user's hand, which may be wearing a glove, is wet or sticky with, for example, oil or grease. Although the addition of a friction-increasing agent can be advantageous with a surface structure, as this creates a space between two abutting layers of polymer sleeve or syringe bags, said space eliminating or reducing the risk of the layers sticking to each other, which would make handling difficult.
According to a second aspect, a blank is provided for the production of at least two disposable syringe bags, each of these blanks comprising a container in polymer film. The subject is characterized by the fact that it consists of an elongated, thin-walled polymer sleeve, where the syringe bags can be torn apart using several tear-off markings, and that an outward-facing surface of the thin-walled polymer sleeve is provided with a rough surface structure and the outward-facing surface of the polymer sleeve includes friction-increasing agents.
According to a third aspect, there is provided a method for producing a disposable syringe bag comprising a polymer film container. The method comprises forming the syringe bag mainly from a thin-walled polymer sleeve, and providing an outward-facing surface of the thin-walled polymer sleeve with a surface structure and providing the outward-facing surface of the polymer sleeve with friction-increasing agents.
In what follows, an example of a preferred embodiment is described which is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, where:

Fig. 8 shows a fourth example of a surface structure. Figure 1 shows a syringe bag 1 which is provided with a syringe tip 2 at an outlet opening 5, and which has been filled with a liquid mass 3 through an open end 4. The liquid mass 3 can be distributed through the syringe tip 2 when the open end 4 of the spray bag 1 is closed, for example folded, and the spray tea bag 1 is pressed together.
Referring to figure 2, the syringe bag 1 is made from a piece of a polymer sleeve, preferably polyolefin plastic such as polyethylene, polypropylene or the like. When it is not filled, as shown in figure 2, the syringe bag 1 has an essentially two-dimensional extent, with a shape that is delimited by means of two parallel folds at edges 9 and 10, where these are formed when the polymer sleeve is pressed together, and a joint 7 which runs at an oblique angle across the edges 9, 10. Parallel to the edge 7 runs a tear-off marking 8 which is carried out in a way that is obvious to a person skilled in the art, for example in the form of perforations. In the open end 4 of the syringe bag 1, a tear mark 11 runs perpendicular to the edges 9, 10. The open end can be provided with a weaker welding joint (not shown) which is such that the syringe bag after tearing along the tear mark 11 remains closed until a user intentionally opens it . According to one embodiment, this weaker weld joint can be achieved at low temperature and under mechanical pressure.
To make it possible to squeeze something out of the syringe bag 1, it is cut off at cut line K, so that an opening 5 of the desired size is obtained. The syringe tip 2 can be used in the opening 5, or the syringe bag can be used without a syringe tip. Figure 3 shows how a polymer sleeve 21 for the production of syringe bags is pressed together by passing it through rollers 20, so that an essentially two-dimensional, elongated blank 22 with double layers is formed. A person skilled in the art knows how a polymer sleeve is formed through film blowing. Figure 4 shows how the double-layer blank 22 has been provided with oblique welding joints 7 and tear-off markings 8, 11 for the purpose of delimiting spray bags 31, 31'.
The syringe bag can essentially be transparent, i.e. transparent to the extent that the contents are visible through the boundary surfaces of the bag.
Ifølge én utførelse kan sprøyteposen være tonet. According to one embodiment, the syringe bag may be tinted.
An outward facing surface of the syringe bag 1 is provided with a surface structure that provides a better grip, i.e. the roughness of the surface increases the friction between the user's hand and the syringe bag.
Figure 5 shows a first example of a grip-improving surface structure that can be achieved by adding fine grains and/or flakes to the polymer mass before the film blowing is carried out, or in connection with this. It will be appreciated that grains and/or flakes can also be applied to the surface of the plastic sleeve after the sleeve 21 or the blank 22 has been formed. The grains or flakes can, for example, be of a plastic material that has a greater density and/or higher melting point than the material the polymer sleeve is made of. For example, the polymer sleeve may be made of low density polyethylene (LDPE), while the grains or flakes are of high density polyethylene (HDPE) or polypropylene. According to other embodiments, the grains or flakes can consist of sawdust, fine sand, lime and/or massive or hollow, microscopic glass spheres.
Another method that can be used to achieve a surface similar to that shown in Figure 5 is to apply varnish to the outside of the spray bag, which varnish is provided with a surface-texturing additive, for example additives of the above type.
Figure 6 shows a second example of a grip-improving surface structure, which can be achieved by rolling the polymer sleeve 21, for example as shown in Figure 3, through an embossing roll, optionally under the influence of heat, which makes it possible to give the polymer sleeve, for example, a grainy (Figure 6 ) or grooved (not shown) structure.
According to one embodiment, the polymer sleeve may be made of at least two laminated polymer materials. A polymer sleeve of this type can have a plurality of layers with different functions; for example, an inner layer which has the task of facilitating the dispensing of liquid mass and preventing said mass from sticking to the inside of the syringe bag, and which also has the task of facilitating the introduction of the syringe tip 2; a gas-tight layer, a support layer and/or an outer grip-improving layer. It will be obvious to a professional how to obtain a laminated polymer sleeve by simultaneous extrusion and film blowing of inner and outer layers. Another previously known way of producing a laminated plastic film is to join two film layers using, for example, adhesive and/or heating.
The above-mentioned methods for providing a grip-improving surface structure can be used both in single-layer spray bags and laminated spray bags. The surface structure described with reference to Figure 5 is suitable for laminated syringe bags, as it is sufficient to apply grains or flakes to the material which forms the outermost layer of the polymer sleeve. Figure 7 shows a further example of a grip-improving surface structure which can be achieved by adding an expansion agent ("foam-forming" agent) to the material from which an outermost layer of a laminated polymer sleeve is made. A professional knows the expansion process. By exposing the polymer sleeve 21 to heat after the film blowing, the expansion agent is made to give off a gas, and bubbles are formed on the outer surface of the polymer sleeve. These bubbles burst, thereby forming a rough surface with a texture that may be of the type shown in Figure 7. Non-limiting examples of expanding agents include bicarbonate, azodicarbonamide and water. Figure 8 shows yet another example of a grip-improving surface structure that can be achieved by starve-feeding. Subfeeding can be done by using pure plastic or with the addition of a filler, for example silicates, chalk, carbonates, small glass beads, fine sand etc, which can be added to the material from which an outer layer of a polymer sleeve is to be made. A professional will know the undersupply process. The extrusion apparatus used to supply the outer layer material is supplied with too little material, resulting in a surface structure similar to that shown in Figure 7. In this case, the concentration of and friction in the filler can be varied to achieve the desired surface roughness.
A further example of a grip-improving surface structure similar to those shown in Figures 7 and 8 can be achieved by means of cold feeding, where the outer layer receives an undersupply of material and the bar press is operated at a lower temperature than normal. In this case, no filler is needed. A specialist will know the cold feeding process.
The above-mentioned ways of achieving a grip-improving surface structure are combined with the addition of known friction-increasing agents, for example viscous high molecular weight liquids such as polyisobutylene and/or glycerol esters.
According to one embodiment, the surface structure described with reference to Figure 5 is combined with the surface structure described with reference to Figure 7 or Figure 8. This embodiment can also be combined with the surface structure described with reference to Figure 6 and a friction-increasing agent.
According to another embodiment, the surface structure described with reference to Figure 7 or Figure 8 is combined with the surface structure described with reference to Figure 6. This embodiment is also combined with a friction-increasing agent.
