Abstract
Oppfinnelsen vedrører en elektrolysecelle (1) for fremstilling av aluminium som inkluderer minst en kollektorstav (6) dannet av et første material og minst en komplementær stav (20, 20') dannet av et andre metall med en elektrisk ledningsevne som er større enn det første metallet og anordnet i nærheten av en av sideflatene av kollektorstaven (6) slik at den eksterne enden (202, 202') av den komplementære staven (20, 20') er ved en spesifisert avstand A, A' fra en spesifisert endeflate (51, 51') av blokken (5). Den andre enden (202, 202') terminerer foretrukket for å begrense varmetap fra cellen (1). Oppfinnelsen gjør det mulig å oppnå signifikant lavere spenningsfall enn kjente celler mens man unngår overdrevent varmetap gjennom kolletorstavene.
