Abstract
Det er tilveiebrakt en kanalestimerings-anordning og -fremgangsmåte for et trådløst kommunikasjonssignal mottatt fra i det minste én relativt mobil trådløs sender/mottakerenhet (WTRU). Forut bestemte filterkoeffisienter med unike indeksverdier vil være lagret i lagerinnretningen. En indeksgenerator vil sammenligne hastighetsestimater og SNR-estimater med et spesifikt sett av filterkoeffisienter, og velge korresponderende indeksverdier, hvorved lageret vil tilveiebringe en oppslagsfunksjon for indeksverdiene, med en filterkoeffisientvektor som utgangsverdi. En kanalestimering av det trådløse kommunikasjonssignal vil resultere fra utgangen av filteret. Alternativt kan et sett av parallelle filtre som kjøres kontinuerlig anvendes for produksjon av flere kanalestimater, fra hvilke det endelige estimat velges basert på det tilknyttede laveste g,jennomsnittskvadratfeil (MSE)-estimat eller største SNR-verdi.
