Abstract

Oppfinnelsen tilveiebringer en fremgangsmåte for å hydrogenere strømmer i anlegg for fremstilling av alkener ved katalytisk dehydrogenering av lette alkaner, og også en anordning for utførelse av fremgangsmåten. Hele hydrokarbonstrømmen til dehydrogeneringsreaktoren, bestående av nytt og resirkulert alkan, utsettes oppstrøms for dehydrogeneringsreaktoren for en full hydrogenering av alle umettede hydrokarboner tilstede deri. Dette reduserer drastisk koksformasjon i dehydrogeneringsreaktoren. Energibehovet for oppvarming av reaktantstrømmen til reaksjonstemperatur reduseres siden energien frigjort i den eksotermiske hydrogeneringen forblir så å si fullstendig inne i hydrokarbonstrømmen.
