Abstract

En fremgangsmåte ved utprøving av den spenning en superledende kabel (100) kan tåle muliggjør evaluering av isolasjonskarakteristikken for en superledende kabel i en kjølemiddelfylt tilstand uten å fylle kabelen med et kjølemiddel. En superledende kabel som er under utprøving fylles med en gass i stedet for et kjølemiddel og utsettes for en prøve med prøvespenning ved normal temperatur. Forut for prøven med prøvespenningen utføres det en forberedende prøvespenningsprøve. For den forberedende prøvespenningsprøve forberedes det en første superledende referansekabel fylt med et kjølemiddel under et forutbestemt trykk og en andre superledende referansekabel fylt med en gass under et forutbestemt trykk i stedet for et kjølemiddel. Den første superledende referansekabel utsettes for en forberedende prøvespenningsprøve ved kjølemiddeltemperaturen, mens den andre utsettes for en forberedende prøvespenningsprøve ved normal temperatur, for å bestemme korrelasjonen mellom kablenes prøvespenningskarakteristikker. Prøvespenningen bestemmes i samsvar med prøvespenningskarakteristikken for den andre superledende referansekabel. Utprøvingen med prøvespenningen utføres med denne prøvespenning.
