Abstract
Foreliggende oppfinnelse tilveiebringer en fremgangsmåte og en anordning for logging av en grunnformasjon og innhente undergrunnsinformasjon, hvor et loggeverktøy blir transportert i borehullet for å fremskaffe parameter av interesse. Parameterne av interesse som fremskaffes, kan være densitet, akustiske, magnetiske eller elektriske verdier som kjent på området. Parameterne av interesse kan overføres til overflaten på en rekke forskjellige måter ved å bruke en fremgangsmåte for multioppløsnings-bildekompresjon. Parametere av interesse blir utformet i et antall kostnadsfunksjoner hvorfra regioner av interesse blir bestemt for å finne karakteristikker ved egenskapene av interesse i regionene.
