Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte for friksjonssveising og et strukturelt legeme som er dannet ved å anvende en friksjonssveisemetode. Spesielt er den foreliggende oppfinnelsen rettet mot en friksjonssveisemetode og et strukturelt legeme laget av et ekstrudert rammeelement i en aluminiumslegering slik som brukt for eksempel i et tog fartøy dannet ved friksjonssveising av et antall ekstruderte rammeelementer. Sammenføyning utføres ved å legge et første element 101 mot et andre element 102 ved å lage kontakt mellom en nedover vendende overflate av en overlappende del av et første element som rager ut over en flate av det andre elementet i langsgående retning og en oppovervendende overflate av et andre rammeelement på en slik måte at den nedovervendende overflaten og den oppovervendende overflaten er i glidbar kontakt før sammenføyning og det første og andre elementet er roterbart og utfører en friksjonssveising for å sammenføye elementene for å danne en rammestruktur.
