Abstract

En fremgangsmåte og en anordning (13) er beskrevet for elektrolytisk beising av flate metallprodukter (2), spesielt spesialstål- og/eller karbonstålstrimler. Minst en diamantelektrode og/eller minst en bly/tinnelektrode, for eksempel en bly93/tinn7-elektrode (15) blir benyttet. De spesielle egenskaper hos diamantelektrodene og/eller bly/tinn-elektrodene er i form av vannspalting. Mens vann vanligvis, ved elektrolyse, blir spaltet til hydrogen og oksygen, tilveiebringer diamantelektroden og/eller bly/tinnelektroden et arbeidsspekter i hvilket ozon eller svært reaktive hydroksylradikaler blir dannet i stedet for oksygen. Som et resultat blir beisingstidene vesentlig redusert sammenlignet med konvensjonell kjemisk beising, og også sammenlignet med konvensjonell elektrolytisk beising.
