Abstract
En LNG sammensetning av LNG fra en lagringstank eller annen kilde modifiseres i en prosess hvori LNG pumpes opp til et første trykk og oppdeles i to deler. En del av den trykksatte LNG trykkavlastes så og tyngre komponenter separeres fra LNG med redusert trykk for derved å danne en mager LNG. Den magre LNG pumpes så opp til et høyere trykk og kombineres med den andre del for å danne en mer mager LNG. Foretrukket gjennomføres separasjonen ved bruk av en metanfjerner, hvori del av metanfjernerens topprodukt kondenseres for å danne den magre LNG, mens en ytterligere del anvendes for tårnrefluks. I ytterligere foretrukne konfigurasjoner er etanutvinningen variabel og i enda ytterligere konfigurasjoner kan propan eller etan tilføres via en rørledning som fører doserte mengder.
