Abstract

I ytterligere foretrukne konfigurasjoner er etanutvinningen variabel og i enda ytterligere konfigurasjoner kan propan eller etan tilføres via en rørledning som fører doserte mengder.An LNG composition of LNG from a storage tank or other source is modified in a process in which LNG is pumped up to an initial pressure and split into two parts. Part of the pressurized LNG is then pressure-relieved and heavier components are separated from the LNG at reduced pressure to thereby form a lean LNG. The lean LNG is then pumped up to a higher pressure and combined with the other part to form a more lean LNG. Preferably, the separation is effected using a methane remover, in which part of the methane remover's top product is condensed to form the lean LNG, while a further portion is used for tower reflux. In further preferred configurations, the ethane recovery is variable and in still further configurations propane or ethane can be supplied via a pipeline carrying dosed amounts.
