Abstract
Et apparat for å generere et flerkanals utgangssignal utfører en senterkanalkansellering for å oppnå forbedrede basiskanaler for rekonstruering av venstre utgangskanaler eller høyre utgangskanaler. Især omfatter apparatet en kanselleringskanalkalkulator (20) for å beregne en kanselleringskanal ved å bruke informasjon tilknyttet den opprinnelige senterkanal som er tilgjengelig ved dekoderen. Innretningen omfatter videre en kombineringsenhet (22) for å kombinere en overføringskanal med kanselleringskanalen. Endelig omfatter apparatet videre en rekonstruktør (26) for å generere flerkanalsutgangssignalet. På grunn av senterkanalkanselleringen vil kanalrekonstruktøren (26) ikke bare bruke en forskjellig basiskanal for rekonstruering av senterkanalen, men også bruke basiskanaler som er forskjellig fra overføringskanalene for å rekonstruere venstre og høyre utgangssignaler som har en redusert eller også fullstendig kansellert påvirkning av den opprinnelige senterkanal.
