Abstract
En fysisk egenskap for en gjenstand slik som en liggende stakk bestemmes ved å oppta par av bilder av de motsatte enders flater og av den ubeskyttede overside fra opphøyede posisjoner i forhold til stokken, slik at bildene muliggjør stereoavbildning av stakken sett fra begge ender. Stereobildene benyttes til å bestemme den fysiske egenskapen for gjenstanden. Flere stokker kan bli avbildet ved bruk av et enkelt kamera eller et par av kameraer anbrakt på et kjøretøy som beveger seg i forhold til de liggende stokkene, eller ved å bruke et enkelt kamera eller et par kameraer anbrakt på en fast ramme og å bevege stokkene forbi kameraene.
