Abstract
En formasjonsfluidprøve blir eksponert for en stivt understøttende, semi-permeabel membran slik som silikongummi, for å tillate diffundering av gasser og damper fra formasjonsfluidet inn i et vakuumkammer mens passasje av fluid samtidig blokkeres. Gassen som har sluppet gjennom membranen blir analysert i vakuumkammeret ved hjelp av en restgassanalysator. En ionepumpe eller et sorpsjonsmiddel er tilknyttet det evakuerte kammeret for å opprettholde vakuumet.
