Abstract
Den foreliggende oppfinnelsen omhandler et oljesøl-identifikasjonssystem og oljesøl-identifikasjonssensorer som skal benyttes i forbindelse med dette systemet. Systemet brukes primært på offshore-konstruksjoner, men kan også brukes på faste landkonstruksjoner. Sensoren innbefatter en kombinasjon av en radar og minst et mikrobølgeradiometer. Data som samles inn blir sendt til en kontrollstasjon. Fortrinnsvis finner sendingen sted på billedpunktnivå mellom sensorene og kontrollstasjonen. Kontrollstasjonen bearbeider data som mottas på billedpunktnivå og sender data til en sluttbruker, fortrinnsvis over internett. Oppfinnelsen omhandler også en fremgangsmåte for anvendelse av systemet.
