Abstract
Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte og et anlegg for varmebehandling av sulfidmalm, hvor faststoffer oppvarmes til en temperatur til ca 450 til 1500ºC i en virvelsjiktreaktor (1). For å bedre energiutnyttelsen foreslås det å innføre en første gass eller gassblanding nedenfra gjennom et gasstilførselsrør (3) og inn i et blandekammer (7) i reaktoren (1), hvilket gasstilførselsrør (3) i det minste delvis er omgitt av et stasjonært, ringformet virvelsjikt (35) som fluidiseres med tilført fluidiseringsgass. Gasshastigheten til den første gassen eller gassblandingen så vel som til fluidiseringsgassen for det ringformede virvelsjiktet (35) reguleres slik at partikkel-froudestallet i gasstilførselsrøret (3) vil være mellom 1 og 100, i det ringformede virvelsjiktet (35) vil være mellom 0,02 og 2, og i blandekammeret (7) vil være mellom 0,3 og 30.
