Abstract

The method comprises the following steps of: providing and maintaining a flame by supplying a burner with fuel and gas containing at least 80% by volume of oxygen; form an oxygen-hot exhaust gas mixture by recirculating the exhaust gas from the flame to the gas containing oxygen by an ejector effect; mixing the oxygen exhaust mixture and the fuel; and providing a second recycle by recirculating the exhaust gases from the flame to the oxygen exhaust fuel mixture. The process and apparatus allow extremely low NO, emissions and high efficiency, resulting in an environmentally friendly and at the same time cost-effective process.
