Oppfinnelsen vedrører en hydrodynamisk maskin, særlig en turbokobling, innbefattende: - et primærhjul; - et sekundærhjul; - idet primærhjulet og sekundærhjulet sammen danner et torusformet arbeidsrom, som kan fylles med et arbeidsmedium; og - en temperaturregistreringsinnretning som er installert i en under drift roterende byggedel og sender ut et temperaturavhengig signal. Den ifølge oppfinnelsen hydrodynamiske maskin, særlig en turbokobling, er kjennetegnet ved at - signalet innbefatter informasjon for bestemmelse av absoluttemperaturen til arbeidsmediet og/eller et gitt referansepunkt i den roterende byggedel.
