Abstract
Kompensasjon av sonarekkodata, særlig fra sjøbunnsmålinger, som er lagret elektronisk i digitalt format, med hensyn til forvrengninger og skyggebilder som har blitt introdusert av delvis gjennomtrengning av den utsendte sonarpuls i sjøbunnens sediment. Kompensering bevirkes ved å resample slike ekkodata etter bunnplukking, for derved å forbedre resultatene fra påfølgende klassifisering av sedimenttyper ved bruk av slike ekkodata.
