Abstract
Et cetylpyridiniumsalt, cetylpyridiniumklorid (CPC), benyttes som en hydrogenutviklingsinhibitor (en strømefifektivitetsforbedrer) i en kommersiell sinkelektroutvinningsprosess.Sinkelektroutvinningsblandinger inneholdende a) antimon og b) antimon pluss lim ble testet. Zinc electroplating mixtures containing a) antimony and b) antimony plus glue were tested. Addition of CPC at a concentration of 0.05 mM to the electrowinning fluid resulted in increased current efficiency for both electrolytes.
