Abstract
The invention relates to a combination consisting of: (a) a method for liquefying a hydrocarbon-rich stream, particularly a natural gas stream, by means of indirect heat exchange with at least one coolant circuit and/or by means of indirect heat exchange with at least one coolant mixture circuit, and; (b) a method for separating nitrogen (15, 16) out of a hydrocarbon-rich fraction (6, 8), which contains nitrogen and which results over the course of the liquefying method. The hydrocarbon-rich fraction is compressed in one stage or in a number of stages, is cooled (E4, E5) whereby being partially condensed, and is fed to a double column nitrogen separating process (K). According to the invention, the cooling and partial condensation (E4, E5) of the hydrocarbon-rich fraction (6, 8) that contains nitrogen ensues against both or at least one of the coolant circuits and/or coolant mixture circuits (x, y) of the method for liquefying a hydrocarbon-rich stream.
