Abstract
Fremgangsmåte og apparat for fremstilling av reaksjonsprodukter ved indirekte forvarming og oppvarming av reaktanter ved indirekte varmeveksling. Bruken av forvarmingstrinnet forenkler utformingen av reaksjonssonen ved at den eliminerer behovet for eksterne varmevekslere og er særlig velegnet for et arrangement av plater som avgrenser trange kanaler for indirekte varmeveksling. De trange kanaler avgrenses fortrinnsvis av korrugerte plater. De primære reaksjonskanaler (i seksjon 42) vil inneholde en katalysator for å fremme dannelsen av det ønskede reaksjonsprodukt fra hovedreaktantene. Varmefluidet (30) føres gjennom tilgrensende varmekanaler (i seksjon 28), slik at det oppnås indirekte oppvarming. I det minste et parti av oppvarmingskanalene står i varmevekslingsrelasjon til et ikke-katalytisk parti av reaksjonskanalene (i seksjon 40) for forvarming av reaktantene foran en katalysatorseksjon (i seksjon 42) av reaksjonskanalene. Katalytisk forbrenning i oppvarmingskanalene (i parti 28) kan gi in situ varmetilførsel til varmemediet (30). Egnede katalysatorer for oppvarmingskanalene kan omfatte oksidasjonsfremmende katalysatorer.
