Abstract

Fremgangsmåte, et system for å påvise og å fremvise flokkede mikroforkalkninger i et digitalt mammogram hvor et enkelt digitalt mammogram (100) først automatisk beskjæres (200) til et brystområdedelbilde som så prosesseres ved hjelp av en optimalisert forskjell til et Gauss-filter for å forsterke tilsynekomsten av potensielle mikroforkalkninger i delbildet. Den potensielle mikroforkalkningen terskles, flokker påvises (300), trekk beregnes for de påviste flokkene, og flokkene klassifiseres (400) som enten mistenkelige eller ikke-mistenkelige ved hjelp av et neutralt nett.Beliggenhetene til de mistenkelige påviste flokkede mikroforkalkningene angis i det orginale digitale mammogrammet. Resultatet fra systemet kombineres optimalt med en radiologs--- -- observasjoner av det orginale mammogrammet ved å kombinere obervasjonene med resultatene etter at radiologen først har godkjent eller forkastet enkeltstående påvisninger rapportert av systemet.
